Important Information
If you would like to be notified
when a product update (patch) becomes available, Eagle Point
provides this service free. Whenever Eagle Point releases a new
patch, an e-mail message will be sent to notify you of the
availability of the patch and to provide you with a list of each
problem that has been corrected. You can then log onto our FTP
site (via our home page if you desire) and download the patch at
your convenience. If you choose to be notified via e-mail when a
patch is available, enter your email address at:

The following items discuss the
most recent changes found in this version of Eagle Point software.
Please note that the following sections are organized
alphabetically, by module, starting with System level changes
followed by enhancements and bug fixes.
System
- MicroStation XM is now a supported CAD engine. MicroStation SE/J/V8 users upgrading to MicroStation XM only need to run the Configure CAD Engine from the Eagle Point Administrator Program to "point" to the MicroStation XM
ustation.exe file. The 2006 6.4.0 CD also contains MicroStation XM as a supported CAD engine during installation. If MicroStation XM is the only version of MicroStation installed on the workstation and there is no previous version of Eagle Point installed, you will need the 2006 6.4.0 CD.
- MicroStation XM: True Color is supported.
To utilize true color for an object, enter the value (#,#,#) or click on
the Select Color icon on an Eagle Point dialog box and then click on the
True Color icon in the lower right corner of the dialog box to display the
Select Color dialog box.
- New Sub-project: You are now prevented from creating a RoadCalc, Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer or Water Surface Profiling sub-project without having a sub-project prototype.
- Make Preview of Project (BricsCad Only): You no longer receive an Instance ID message the project is not configured for the active CAD when you create a preview image of the project.
COGO
- Report Nodes (AutoCAD and BricsCad): When you modify a description of a Node using the Modify Node command, you can now select the node with other commands using the description without having to closing and reopening CAD.
Drafting
- Unlink Objects: When you unlink Eagle Point data from a Node, the Nodes will no longer be unrecognized when you save the drawing and reopen. This also prevents fatal errors from
occurring when the drawing is reopened. Since the block has a PN attribute, the object will get reconverted into a Node when the Drawing is opened.
Landscape Design
- Label Symbol: A scale multiplier has been added to the Edit Label Style dialog box. This allows you to adjust the size of the hexagon or circle that is placed when labeling plants. To reduce the size of the symbol, enter a value less than 1 (one) in the Scale Multiplier edit control. To increase the size of the symbol, enter a value greater than 1 (one) in the Scale Multiplier edit control.
- Locate Broadleaf by Grove: With some complex shaped planting beds, the plants were placed outside the planting bed. This problem has been resolved.
- Tree Shadows: Eagle Point no longer locks up when you enter an invalid angle and click the Hatch Properties icon.
- Tree Shadows: The Shadow Angle and Hatch Angle now take view rotation into account.
Plant Database
- Display: The Plant Data list control now sorts the plants in alphabetic order.
Capitalization is no longer used in determining the sort order.
RoadCalc
- Volumes: When printing raw volumes when you have an undercut surface, "Undercut" is no longer printed in the Cut Area and Cut Volume columns. These columns are now blank as they should be.
- Update Cross-Section Sheets: The Update Sheets command now correctly accounts for a shift in the sheet coordinates to a location other that 0,0.
Sewers
- Plan and Profile Sheets: When a curved pipe is used, the plotted pipe now displays
correctly in the profile portion of the sheet when a reference alignment is not used. The annotation along the pipe now displays the length according to the Profile Pipe Length Annotation Setting found in the Network Settings dialog box.
- Custom Printouts: The correct pipe length now displays in custom printouts for curved pipes.
Surface Modeling
- Spot Elevations (AutoCAD Only): The ARX Object Information displayed as unrecognizable characters when listed in AutoCAD. All ARX Object information was stored correctly as this was only a text information display problem. Object types that displayed incorrectly included Spot Elevations, Triangles, Contours and Rectangular Grids. This problem has been corrected.
